Hi Melanie,
I use the term 'Migration', though the other suggestions sound fine too...
Guess it just depends on your preference.
I have my definition set as follows:
[EventName] from [Desc], [onDate] [~toPlace].[Sources] [CR][Notes]
Migration from the Divide District of Buffalo Co., NE on Nov
The statements that aren't created by the program can be added into background
timelines, and be included only when wanted. It is easier to click on/off six
or seven sentences than typing them each time. The timeline 'name' might be
'Johnson extra sentences'.
Hope this helps. Rich in LA CA

You must use your scanner's rules to create a 'photo' or 'document'. Once you
save, Legacy will find it easily.

Juanita,
I have had this situation on a couple of occasions and this is what I did.
1. Transcribe the letter word for word into a text document...save.
2. Create a master source in Legacy with the letter as the master source.
3. Copy/Paste the text of the letter into text/comments of the master s
I would use the "Relocation" event for moves within a country and the
"Emigration" or "Immigration" events for moves from one country to another.

If you're scanning it as an image, you can attach it as Source Picture
or Source Detail Picture, depending how you define your Master Source.
If you're turning the image of it into text, you can attach it as Source
Text or Source Detail text. You could actually do both, the image and
the text,

If you haven't changed RIN's yet you could uncheck Include married
names in the Name List Options as a workaround until this is fixed.

Ok, that's why I don't see the problem. I don't use married names.
If I switch on married names and change RIN 33 to RIN 1 then only the
maiden name and the AKA is changed to RIN 1 the married name still is
RIN 33 for Elizabeth Reynolds.
So this is a bug.

Thanks Jenny,
