In my old version of FTM, you fill in a name field and perhaps a date of
birth, then a dialog box pops up asking Is this the same person as John
Jones b 15 Jan 1880? In a database with 5,000 entries the response is
instantaneous. Of course to get results you'd have to enter exactly

name list for the next person, saw the mistake. Two of them now have new AKA's
and the sources went well. It took ten minutes to find and do the merge.

I think the basic report is the lineage chart or printing a report
from the Relationship Calculator. If you want something extra you
could use the steps I provided (only takes one to two minutes to
produce that report and it's very easy to add more individuals to that
report).

Is it possible to apply a tag to all the names that are listed from a
search? Or, is there a way to otherwise tag all living people?

Yes. With your Search List results on screen, click on the Options button,
choose Advanced Tagging. In the Advanced Tagging dialogue box make sure you
click on Tag under the heading Advanced Tagging. Choose the Tag number next to
Make changes on #. Then click the button labeled
