It doesn't take much to tick a box unintentionally. I'm assuming it
didn't tick itself, so I wouldn't worry about it happening in the future
by way of some software bug. If your list disappears again you'll know
where to look.

I spent yesterday entering a large number (hundreds) of baptisms, burials
and marriages on one line in my family (and associated families).
I was entering the details of baptisms for children of one couple and had
