Good Morning
I am new to this list so apologize if this question has been asked before.

Not sure what you mean by taken?
Don't try anything else until we figure out exactly what you did.

David-
Can we have some more clues? By taken I am making an assumption
that you had a more recent backup version already on the flashdrive,
but you somehow copied / moved an older backup to the flashdrive? Is
that correct?
Thanks.

From what you wrote, did you give a husband the name of Unknown. Using that,
first print (or write on scrap paper) the family group sheet, Including RINs.
Save/backup your file, then unlink (Mr.) 'Unknown' from wife, which should ask
'unlink from children?'. Once he is not connected to anyone,

What 'update button in Legacy'? Do you mean on the website? I did it last night
the same as I always do, which is choosing 'Internet' from in the Legacy
program, using the 'Download' drop down, 'Download Update'. Sometimes I forget
to add my Email address?, but I don't think that is your case.
Hello,
I am trying to make some small charts to show some individual cousins how
each is linked to the common ancestor.(Each has come down a different line.)
When I do my own chart (Mother line 6 gens) it show all the info, but wants
to print 2 pages with 1/2 of each page empty. How can I
By the update button, I mean the link in the Updates box of the Legacy Home
tab. Clicking that, it told me that it couldn't install but if the problem
persisted I could download the update from the website.
No, I didn't delete anything. I did, however, have the program open when I

It sounds like you overwrote your new database with your older one? Have you
tried opening the database from each location? (Close any Legacy database you
have open and double click the file from inside the folder to make sure you're
looking at the right one.) I would have thought it would ask

Since I don't have Vista, I don't know for sure, but I have heard V is more
picky about directory stuff, (especially after it was changed after working the
'other' way first).

I just updated to 7.0.0.97. Is it my failing memory or imagination? - did
new fields show up in the LDS Temple data window, specifically Initiatory
Date Temple? I don't recall seeing those fields before. I found the
revision history but didn't locate any mention of adding new Temple data
fields.
Ted,
I didn't see any mention of it either, but yes they are there. I for one am
very glad, but now I have to go back
and fill in information that I could not put there before. Legacy keeps
getting better and better.
