Ron, I agree the wildcard could be an additional feature, but a wild card search for the name Querido, which is the one I was looking for, would never turn up either Kerido or Crudo. However, those two names with similar birth dates stood out when the index was sorted on birth date and immediately

CE, Secondary sorting in the index does not sort the DB by birth date. It sorts on names (or RIN) first. I would like to see sorting on birth date completely independent of the name. Take a look at Rebecca's example. Sorting the index on another field should not pose a problem for the programmers.
