I read you post and was not aware that FTM did silly things to the GEDCom. I
have only ever had a brief look at FTM and on a different machine - hence my
ignorance - but now I know :-)

is probably what CE meant. CE probably just forgot that this icon is not

Now it has been mentioned I do very vaguely remember seeing something about
this. From what has just been written by yourself and Dennis, does it also mean
that it cannot be changed using the Windows File Associations? I have no way of
checking this.

I think you're correct; FTM apparently doesn't play nice; however, it doesn't

Lineage is one particular person's lineage, so 1/2 siblings will not show,
whether in View or Report.
In Descendant view and Report, descendants are listed under their parents.
I think the only time you see 1/2 is in the Family View.
