Yes, I have had *part* of this problem. I didn't have the Locations problem,
but I was unable to cleanly uninstall Legacy because of that install.log

I was afraid to delete all the files and folders as some have suggested. I

Thanks for checking. Mine is still opening both a local file and a Yahoo

If you cut and pasted this information then the problem lies elsewhere
in your file as it searched properly for me. If you merely hand typed

I haven't used the US County Verifier in quite a while but I went to use it
today and it is different! Am I going crazy? I used to be able to hit the
US County Verifier under Tools and it would do a search through my database
and find any bad county names or counties that weren't formed yet.

The problem has *not* returned.
I forgot that long, long ago I set Legacy to open with the old file
name. I did not think to change it to the new file name. I have also
entered additional information into both the old and new file. Alas.
Again, Legacy does not crash after I did #3 below.
Michele,
I think what's happened is that because what used to be there was actually a
report, the U.S. County Verifier report has actually moved to the
Books/Other tab of the Reports.

For now, Go to Reports and select Books and Other and you will see the

By pointing the mouse over the vertical bars between the column
headings, the cursor changes. You can than drag the bar left or right to
change the width of the two adjacent columns.

Yes, I know I can move the columns by dragging them, but to see much of the
detail column, which is what I want to do, it seems to take three separate
drags (move col. 2 left, move col. 3 left, move last col. right), certainly
not something I want to do each time I open that screen.

Mary Jo,
A new update is now out I suggest that you try downloading the full Legacy from
the website - ie.*not* the update only.
Before you do anything please see if you now have the INSTALL.Log file in
C:\Legacy\ folder and if so uninstall and reinstall. If not please let us know.
Ron

Legacy will open but you don't see a family file (if I remember correct),
just open a family file via the menu and update via the Home tab.

I assume you are trying to create a Descendant BOOK Report. You cannot
include Events on the Descendant CHART. In the Book report you can select
Report Options and then check the very first box on the Include tab,

events.
That's great news.

No, I don't have INSTALL.LOG in C:\Legacy\. It isn't there as a

However, when, in Windows Explorer, I open the BACKUP folder, and
