Brian and others with Legacy re-install problems,
I have used, with excellent results, a free program called Revo
Uninstaller, which removes traces of an uninstalled program from the
registry. You might take a look at something like that, which should be
more targeted, thus safer, than a
If you should decide to try the Revo Uninstaller (if is free) and you want
to take all the little lingering traces of Legacy away, be sure to click on
the last box/button on the screen where you select the thoroughness of your

I have a question about master sources. I am a new user, and am adding some
new people to my file. I have a document (a letter) which I want to use as a
master source for these new people.
So I created a master source, and started inputting the pertinent text for
each person as I went along.
I have a question I haven't been able to find an answer to. I am
recording information from the SSDI. Since it includes the SS# place
issued, I enter those in the event (could really figure out what date
meant, since there is no information as to when the SS# was issued on
the SSDI web site
I might recommend that you backup the file AND modify the extension (the part
after the .) by changing or adding a letter. That way the uninstaller won't
recognize it as a Legacy file and leave it alone.

Which Master Source template are you using? It would be helpful if you

Judy,
The Master Source should be the same for each individual. The differences
