I would disagree with the statement below. I have pictures in two main
folders, with subfolders. I have one in documents/genealogy/gravestones.
The others I have in pictures/family and various surnames. I have no
problem with them displaying in Legacy or Legacy finding them when I
test the
I agree you store you files and pictures anywhere on your hard drive
or thumb drive. Conceptually you could store each picture in a
different location and as long as you assign or point to the picture
location, Legacy will be happy.
The issue is what happens when you move to another

What Leon has said makes good sense and may make life easier in the
future. Don't forget, after coping files from one pc to another, you
can make some 'adjustments' if need be by going to Options - Customise
- Locations. You'll see the default locations noted there, 4 pathways

I am not sure what you are suggesting here. Joyce has all her pictures in
folders in the C Drive, or in their sub folders

I would not recommend doing that. Legacy really wants all of its pictures
in one subfolder
