I think you need to disabuse yourself of the idea that MS Works Database
is a "simple version of MS Access." The two are very different
creatures and most of what you can do with a Legacy file
Valerie:
My guess is that Works will open an.rtf filesince the format was
developed by MSoft as a cross application format but I am curious why
you would go from a specially designed database application like
Legacy to one that is definitely more mickey mouse like Works. What

RTF( which stands for Rich Text Format) is a document format that
almost all wordprocessors can open.
It is very useful for emailing since, unlike other wordprocessor file
formats, RTF documents cannot harbour viruses. You might find that
email programs will strip any .doc attachments
Valerie,

Besides the reasons given by Wendy, I like the RTF best of all because
of the names being highlighted, and other "fancy" things.

I can't reproduce this one. I've tried with a few different options

re-choosing your options?

Hi Dick,
This appears to be happening for all Book Reports.
The period is there in the Preview but not the space before it.
I see the period as a bug. Certainly the space before it is. I've put
in a bug report.
So the only way to deal with it before a fix is in the RTF where you
could search
Dick:
You need to be more specific. I do not have problems with a Descendant report.
What report are you refering and what version of Legacy do you have?
