Re: [LegacyUG] Fw: Mapping and IE8
Confirmed for GR 109 and Beta 110 It works ok from the Master Location List but if I click the Mapping icon nothing happen on the map. Evert 2009/11/10 Kay Fordham kayhawo...@earthlink.net: Forgot to mention that my mapping worked fine until I recently upgraded from the July build to the current build. Did something happen with 7.0.0.109? Kay - Original Message - From: Kay Fordham kayhawo...@earthlink.net To: Legacy User Group LegacyUserGroup@legacyfamilytree.com Sent: Monday, November 09, 2009 4:53 PM Subject: Mappint and IE8 Using build 7.0.0.109 - IE8 Vista My mapping no longer works. Per the archives someone reported the same problem; with IE8 XP; however, others did not seem to have a problem. When I use Map my Family, clicking a location on the list to the left does not go to that location. The map just sits there. Any suggestions? Same here. This afternoon it worked from the master location list, but now it stopped working in the GR and in the Beta! That is also true for me, Evert, which strongly suggests that this is a MS/Bing created problem since Legacy has not been changed. Re: [LegacyUG] Fw: Mapping and IE8
Confirmed. MS/Bing not working with Legacy 110 IE 7, nor is it working with Legacy 110 IE8. I'd say the MS boys hiccuped pretty good. HOWEVER, in either IE version, I can go to an individual, open the Individual Information window, click the locations, get taken to locations, and the map works! Is that a clue for something? Re: [LegacyUG] Fw: Mapping and IE8
Yes, that's how it works for me, but once in the Master Location List you cannot change the pin to another location. It will only work once (for me). If the pin is placed to the correct position the first time is it really a Bing position problem? Evert 2009/11/10 Robert Carneal USA carnea...@adelphia.net: Confirmed. I think you are right, because Microsoft's own MSN software has been acting similarly too!
