Thanks Ron...I guess I could also copy the .usr files from one of my computers
that is working correctly and put them into the Legacy folder on the computer
that is including those single individuals for the focus group record
selection. I may try that today in the FHC at the local building.
This mapping problem needs to be addressed (pun intended). I have found many
locations that are found with Virtual Earth to be inaccurate. Your example of
a town out-to-sea is a good one. I am especially troubled when a location that
has been accurately determined by a call to the GEO
Ron,
I have yet to find a location which I have set being over-ridden by the
mapping system. You need to contact Microsoft re the pin-positioning
determined by Virtual Earth.

A couple of early morning comments.
Sometimes when it seems that VE has placed a location in the middle of the
ocean, you just need to zoom if to see that it actually has not.
There are places, as Holderness, Yorkshire, England, which ARE now in the ocean

Please carefully read my post. I am not expecting Millennia to make VE more
accurate. I only want Legacy to not overwrite entries that have already been
looked-up or hand-entered without at least a question to the user as to whether
that VE information should be stored instead of what is
I agree with Ron Ferguson - I have yet to have the coordinates of any location
that I have found using either GEO or some other way from being overwritten.
You can always retain latitude and longitude that you have researched
separately from VE, either your own research or GEO.

Hi. I'm getting some funny source titles listed in instances where
there are no source citations cited. What is showing, for example, is
found in the list of events toward the end of the source events, after

I think you will find it is more or less a place holder for a source if you did
have one. It does not mean that the person is recorded as not having children
/ nit having married.

Thanks! I thought about that, but I thought it would be kind of dumb
to do it that way since the names of the persons are actually recorded
along with the titles. Seems like if that is the case, the programmers
should eventually change it. Just my opinion anyway. Thanks again!

Jan, you can turn them off yourself. On the Assigned Sources screen, there is a
check box in the lower right Show all events. If you uncheck it, only the
events with sources will show.

Thanks - I didn't mind showing everything, but since I don't like
seeing the names right next to events that never took place, I will go
ahead and uncheck the box.--Jerry
