I would like to input all of my burial information into Find a Grave using
their excel template. The upload would include name, cemetery, birth date,
death date and even tombstone pictures. Is there a way to export this
information from Legacy so that I do not have to retype all of this
Do a search using the Detailed Search tab for the parameters you want
to include in the template and in the Search List, click on Print.
Select the fields you wish to use and create the report for CSV which
can be opened in a spreadsheet program.
However, it won't be in the same format as a
A couple of notes on the information you want to upload to Find-a-Grave:
- All the entries in one Excel Template are for a single cemetery.
You will have to create a separate spreadsheet for each cemetery
where you have burials. Find-a-Grave also asks for at least 25
entries
In Legacy deluxe 7.5.0.219
When you go to Options / Customize; there are many parameters that can
be changed.
Having a Print Out of all the options that you have selected would be
most useful in case
of a computer crash or other calamity.
Is there any way to generate such a document?
John.

So far as I know, only by using the Print-Screen key and perhaps software to
save captured screen images to disk.

Can someone advise how to contact Find-a-grave and how to register as a
user I register about a month ago, never received any data from them, can
not log in and after 5+ e-mail messages to some of the addresses noted on the
site have never heard from anyone. I wouldliek to access the
It's not really necessary to print out the options you've chosen. You
can save and reload them using the Save and Load buttons under Report

Ok, that was dumb. You weren't asking about reports but Customize

It is a large website run by volunteers and it can take some time for them
to get back to you. Meantime why not re-register? It has been too long for
me to remember if I got any acknowledgement or if I just had to sign in,
and mostly I have remained signed in except when I get a new computer! G
The customization options you choose using Options Customize are
stored in the Legacy.usr file. If you save a copy of that file somewhere
outside of the Legacy Folder you can restore the settings by moving the
copy back into the Legacy program folder.

Registering to use the website is separate from registering to use the
forum, if I remember correctly. I know I have 2 different user ID's, one
for the website and one for the forum. I hope this helps.

I think you must be confusing this Legacy forum and its registration problems
with those of Find-A-Grave.

(Yes, admittedly all it takes is one email to support to fix any registration
problems in Legacy but I just couldn't resist that little comment.)

I should add one more suggestion. First, check to see if any of the grave
memorials that you are going to submit already exist. Find-A-Grave is blind in
that respect and will easily create two memorials for the same person.

Oh Please, please, please - double and triple check both the person, cemetery,
and town. It is a dreadful problem that pervades Find-A-Grave and is beginning
to make it useless. Do not add to the mess.

Brian,
This is correct, and if you add a duplicate memorial, FAG can and will at some
point delete it, the oldest date for the memorial submitted has priority.
