Jay's original question was about which field in the database contained the
child status. That is why I provided a few SQL scripts that make use of those
fields in the database tables. I was aware of the methods available in Legacy.
If you try the scripts that I posted, you will find
I don't know a thing about SQL other than how to copy someone else's script

From his question it looked like he wanted to find those who were marked
twins.
Easy to find siblings with the same name - look in the Name List or

Hey Ron,
The intent behind my original question was that I was going to find a way
to find the persons in my database who are twins, BUT that I have not yet
marked as twins. And I did not know what table or field I would need to
change.
I have since discovered that the flag is the IDCS field

I also have another script that can find possible multiple births that
have the child status blank and help to get those child status fields set
to Twin, Triplet, etc.
This is what I refereed to
Would love to get this from you.
Thanks

Jay,
You are probably aware that tblCS is not standard for all users. It contains
whatever the user has added or retained from the original install. So changing
the value from 0 to 6 may not the Twin setting for all databases. What I do

I have a lot of Czech names and locations that require the use of special
characters, many of which are not available to choose for use within Legacy
v.8. When I try to use these characters from the Windows Character Map,
they display in a larger font than used in the various name, location, and
Copy it into wordpad and then just change the font size to want you want.
Then copy into Legacy. I haven't tried it but I assume that works.

Have you tried the ribbon for special characters as you enter data?

Yes, but the needed characters are not there. I wonder if there is a way
to expand or change the list from which the ribbon characters are chosen in
Legacy.

Can of worms. See the archives. I don't know about Legacy 8, which is still too
buggy for me to use, but in Legacy 7.5, even if you copied and pasted the
correct characters, they would not show because Legacy doesn't use UTF-8 yet.

Try using a Czech keyboard.
I switch to a Danish keyboard for about six characters, and back to English.
Just a quick mouse click to switch between keyboards after set up.
Note, doing this on Windows 7, not sure when this feature was first available.

In order to insert Czech characters, you need to follow the instructions on
the Czech website for a registry hack and some other changes.
Only problem is you need to be able to read Czech to find the instructions!
