Mika, To use Families on your iPad an iPhone, you need to get the app from the store and then go to http://www.telgen.co.uk/families/ and get the Families Sync program for you computer. That's what converts and syncs the databases. It's not automatic. You'll find more directions and videos on

Otso, Yes the upgrade to version 9 removed your version 8 shortcuts on your taskbar as it's a new program. Just pin it again. No you can't use the customer codes for 8 for v9 or vice versa. They're really your proof of purchase. If you actually mean can you use the same database/family

Another 'solution' to having Legacy 8 Deluxe (NOT v7 or 7.5) and Legacy 9 running on the same computer is to rename the family file (.fdb) within the installed Legacy v9, then install your v8 with its v8 Customer Number. This may require extraction of the "v8" files from the latest v8 backup

Hi Otto, If you have v8 full key then you are likely using v8 Deluxe. If you have the v9 key it would suggest that you have already purchased version 9. Version 9 offers some upgrades and fixes to version 8, so I would suggest simply doing the upgrade. The data files are not compatible
