Chris, Your step 8 has an error. If there are multiple lines in a focus group all the people selected by all the lines will be included in the group. It works this way so you can assemble a focus group from many different criteria such as including the descendants of more than one person. That

Hi Valerie I rather suspect you are raising this because you have tried to do it and it is not working. It SHOULD work like this: 1. Export to GEDCOM and select the Ancestry target. 2. Make any options on the main display and on Customise regarding which items you want to include. 3

I am jumping into the conversation late. Here is what I do... I create an Obituary event. I transcribe the entire obituary into the event notes. I attach a scan of the entire newspaper page to the event (if I only have a clipping found in someone's possession and I can't find the newspaper page

Whether you do the full obit or not, it helps to at least have the reference. Personally I like the full obit to show in reports. Many years from now it may not be available, even in a scanned version if it is an old one. Leonard __
