Ian, How familiar are you with Advanced Tagging in Legacy? Read up on what Entire Ancestor Tree tagging and Entire Descendant Tree tagging mean. They are powerful but don't work usefully if there are multiple links between branches in your family. How familiar are you with using View > Trees

I would appreciate suggestions from those more expert than I am in using Legacy Family Tree program. I decided some time ago to put "everyone" into the same .FDB file. I find it easy to use the Tags and to search, and I am familiar with the various "families" that do not actually relate at all
