Two issues causing you problems I think though I'm not exactly clear what you
are doing as you are giving a Marriage sentence - but that is built in but can
be varied a little at Options Customise 8.7 or using the Wording tab in the
Marriage Information.
The normal is say Amanda

I am using Legacy 8.0.0.427 on a windows 8.1 machine
I am trying to enter a Marriage Event, not Marriage Information, for my
daughter Amanda who just got married. When I open the event, the
initial sentence is populated as Amanda were married.ยน In looking at
the Sentence Defintion, I see it
