In a previous family file, I had over 120,000 names.  I had no problem on the legacy side.  For 300,000 names, you will need a computer with a very fast processor.  My computer processor had 8 gb of ram and could not handle this huge file.  Be prepared to do a lot of waiting with some lock up

The limit is not on the number of people in your file but the overall file size. The maximum file size allowed by the database is 2 gigabytes (you will have problems when the size approaches the limit) If you have a lot of long notes in Events, Stories, etc. the space for a single person grows

[LegacyUG] Number of People you can have in your file?

2020-10-09 Thread Sheila
Hi all, Can anyone tell me if there is a limit on the number of people you can have in your file? I currently have over 27,000 and I am afraid I may be running out of space. I tend to go pretty far out on the relationship scale. Thanks for any help in advance !! -- LegacyUserGroup mailing
