I have used Legacy for years, not always successfully, often challenged.
My main problem has come when I need a particular kind of report. It
just seems unnecessarily complicated and the type of report I need is
always quite hard to come by.
I am afraid I may be at the end of my relationship
I am using the Descendant Narrative Report of the Publishing Center. I
do not see an option to select generations on that main screen.

Hi Jane,
You might check your 'Privacy' options.
It could be that they are checked to exclude living individuals.

I am trying to get the report I wish, but have run into a puzzling

looked 16 times for an option to select how many generations, but do not
find it. Why does it stop short of going all the way down to me?

I create mine from the "Internet" tab, then the "Web Pages" section, and
I pick the "Descendent" style. (First I go to the top person in my
tree). That'll create a pretty nice report for you that you can look at
with your browser. If you know any HTML you can pretty it up even better.

if you are just wanting the people that connect you to your 4th great
grandfather with all their information, then you want an Ancestor Book
Report.
The cleanest way since you don't want your other ancestors is to tag the
line using the Relationship Calculator and

Yes, that comes the closest. It gives more info on his children than I
want, but I can just delete what I don't want.
Doesn't seem like rocket science to offer a report about just that one
person in narrative style. Surprising that it isn't there.
Thanks for the suggestion.
