Yep That's what I meant, But I didn't say it right. The 30 day reminder
when clicked does an update that is pretty well transparent to the user
except for the time waiting. I had to abort that update but want it back,
is there any way to gi it a poke to get it to ask again?
I know that I can
Legacy does not do automatic updates every 30 days, they are issued as
necessary. The last update was 13 Jun to build 9.0.0.189.
Do you mean the reminder to check for updates every 30 days instead.
That is set in options 12. Other Settings > Section 12.5 Message Boxes.
The update reminder is
Ian, it's simpler than that! Just go to the Legacy Home page in
Legacy. On the right, it tells you if you have the latest update. If
you don't, just click in that box and it will update all by itself!.

Ian,
There is no "automatic update" and it's certainly not on a regular time
frame. Updates are released as they're ready and *you* have to initiate the
update process.
You may be thinking of the notification every 30 days to check for updates.
If you go to the Legacy Home tab in Legacy, you
I botched the automatic update that legacy provides every 30 days. How do
get it update without going through my browser?
Like Reset the clock to 20 days?

I previously reported, as others have done, that the Legacy Home Page box
updates was not notifying me of new updates.
Well - an update! This morning upon signing in it worked like it did in V
7. I have a notice that version 8.0.0.385 is now available for download.
Success!!!

The way the program is structured, it's not possible to send out
patches to update. The full setup file must be
downloaded.
Because of all the additional features in v8, the setup file is much
larger than it was with v7.5

Wondering why it should be necessary to download the full 60+MB of program
and then re-install the program just to take care of an update.
Reason I ask is although I do have a very large data allowance each month,
not everyone is so lucky.
Also, I don't recall having to download that large a file
The option for the selective update when only the changed files were
downloaded has also gone.

Kathy, et al,
The rapid pace of updates right now is an anomaly of the new version
release process. The normal process is for a new General Release
build every few months, not every week.

Thanks Sherry John - appreciate the insight.
Make perfect sense to me now, and certainly something I can therefore deal
with with no further concerns.
