That was my first thought, but the option for underlining missing information
is turned off.
In the Descendant Book Report, check whether you have checked the box to add
underlines for missing information. That's a possible source but I would think
you'd have others if that were the case.
I have noticed in a couple of instances where a couple is not married and I

In the Descendant Report, when one or both parents have not been entered for an
individual, the text reads something like son of Unknown and Unknown. Is
there a way to avoid having this wording inserted into reports?

I'm using the Special Characters in the Notes for an Event to insert an en dash
(Alt 0150) for a date range... eg. John Smith (1945--). I'm puzzled as to why,
when I save the Event, the en dash converts to John Smith (1945'96).

I was able to correct the problem. when right-clicking on where the the
marriage info displays, I noticed an option to display List of Wives. It was
showing an Unknown wife. When I deleted it, the MRIN disappeared.

family line and that an *Ancestor* rather than a *Descendant* chart has been
