Re: [LegacyUG] Find - Modified Date

2017-08-02 Thread Denise Moss-Fritch
Seems this thread concerning the 'hidden' link for the modify date in Family
view is still active. So, might I add yet a bit more information from the
Legacy Help file?

Please see the 'Tips and Tricks' topic in Help. (Not a topic name I would
have expected as a long retired tech writer, yet . . .) This topic provides
captures of various windows or tabs of the Legacy interface, and provides a
listing (numbered callouts) showing the various hidden links. Also, please
remember you can always print a copy of the 'Tips and Tricks' topic from
Help.

There is no box till you are over it.

Go to the extreme bottom right corner of the window…It is there.

It changes color when I hover over it. Click it.

Since Legacy 8.0 was released in August of 2014 it has only been three
years that the invisible box in the lower right existed. Legacy 7 and

Does that mean you haven't found all the other "pop-up" fields in the border
spaces all over the screen including the middle vertical strip?

Not sure if it's a Deluxe version only option and/or requires pop-ups allowed
in the options.

Definitely worth finding ALL these options including the bottom right hand
corner.

NONE of these are visible until you slowly move your mouse over them, then wait
/ hover for the text / description to appear.

This is in Legacy 8 and 9.
In Legacy 7.5 and earlier the last box has a date in it. It's the modification

Re: [LegacyUG] Find - Modified Date

2017-08-01 Thread Cathy Pinner
It was on the bottom status bar before Legacy 8. It got crowded out with
new design for Legacy 8.

Once you know how to access it, that's not a problem.

It's worth going periodically to Help - Help Index - Right side panel
find Tips and Tricks and after clicking - General Tips and Tricks to
find explanations of all the screens including the hidden things. These
are also in the Manual.
