Yes and of course my Ribbon looks different than yours but the same idea. I use the search often, and use dates to find duplications, so its a real pain. The part that I don't understand is that it seems to only happen the one time and after closing legacy and reopening it all is well. Re: [LegacyUG] I have a crash problem
Regular search from the menu bar. Just the date nothing else. create list caused by carriage return, And its a new computer So should have no baggage. Re: [LegacyUG] I have a crash problem
Ian, Where are you entering the date (ie. what search tab are you using). I tested the Detailed search tab and I had no problems with searching from there. Search took only a few seconds to find a person using the find any date equal to Mar 1832 (I have no records in my file with your 23 mar 1845 so I had to use a date I knew was in the file). I also tested the Query by Example tab and it worked equally quickly. Then Windows says wait or close program. Waiting does no good and close kills the session. The second time round no problems. .It "seems" to be the first search after a start. The system can run a check and repair with no problems reported. If I do not use date search, all works well until a date search. Anyone have a clue as to where to look for a solution?
