Re: [LegacyUG] Spell Check Master Dictionary
Jenny No all you do is click Dictionaries, choose the word you approved erroneously and delete the word. Close the dictionary and if you want to then run spell checker again. Henry p.s. You can even "add" words to the dictionary. -Original Message- From: LegacyUserGroup [mailto:legacyusergroup-boun...@legacyusers.com] On Behalf Of Jenny M Benson Sent: Wednesday, August 09, 2017 11:01 AM To: legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Spell Check Master Dictionary On 09-Aug-17 10:57 AM, Henry T. It shows what I discovered how to do, but - and it's a big BUT! - you need to have the Spell Checker find a word it doesn't recognize in order to be able to get to that "editing" screen. -- Jenny M Benson http://jennygenes.blogspot.co.uk/ -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list LegacyUserGroup@legacyusers.com To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list LegacyUserGroup@legacyusers.com To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/

Re: [LegacyUG] Spell Check Master Dictionary
Jenny and others It is fairly easy to edit a dictionary. I had added a link to a small video (no audio) to show HOW. Open any "note" to get to the spell checker and just follow the black mouse pointer in the video. Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6c9ywx99i7tacs2/Editing%20Dictionary.mp4?dl=0 Regards Henry -Original Message- From: LegacyUserGroup [mailto:legacyusergroup-boun...@legacyusers.com] On Behalf Of Jenny M Benson Sent: Wednesday, August 09, 2017 3:40 AM To: legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Spell Check Master Dictionary On 09-Aug-17 12:52 AM, Gene Young wrote: >> >> > I don't know how hard you looked but I opened the help index, typed > dictionary, clicked on "for spell checking" and found the answer in > less than 10 seconds. Margaret didn't say she couldn't find the Help topic, she said she wasn't able to do what it said. When I looked at it, I had the same problem. I don't think the instructions are very clear. In order to get to the tabs with the right buttons, one needs the Spell Checker to have stopped at a word it doesn't recognize, otherwise you just get a notification that the Spell Check is complete. -- Jenny M Benson http://jennygenes.blogspot.co.uk/ -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list LegacyUserGroup@legacyusers.com To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list LegacyUserGroup@legacyusers.com To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/
