This Netgear WGE101 is know as a "wireless Ethernet bridge" or "wireless gaming adapter". You configure it for an existing wireless network, then use a common Ethernet cable between the adapter and the device, such as a Mac, TiVo, Blu-ray player, etc. This would be a great addition to a G4 Mac Mini or G5 tower without wifi. Some of these models use oddball wifi hardware that is obscenely expensive.

The device supports b/g networks and supports WEP encryption. I have 2 of them.
