well, as Edward pointed out - when I deleted my leosettings.leo file
bzr ASSUMED (!) it was intended to be deleted. my *sigh* is that
when I put it BACK --- bzr did not also ASSUME I intended to add it
back.. *grunt* but it DID keep DELETING the file I added - and

Hmmm... So you must have a bad @enabled-plugins in your myLeoSettings
Compare against the one in LeoSettings and set it up accordingly.
