The new code is simpler than before, and more general. The new code makes everything legible, regardless of color name and regardless theme, including no theme. Black shows up well with dark themes, the 'error', 'info' and 'warning' colors get translated to the theme equivalent of 'red', etc. This rev also adds the latest code to LeoSolarizedDark.leo in the leo/themes folder. You should be able to open this file directly with or without myLeoSettings.leo enabled. Please report any problems immediately.
