My apologies for the delay in responding.

The answer is "no".  The toctree directive is for Sphinx, not docutils.
There are no plans to change this.

The toctree directive appears in LeoDocs.leo in several places, but this
issue is not serious, at least in LeoDocs.leo.

render rst's toctree directive

Hi,

I wonder if it's possible to render toctree when using rst preview.

So far I got:

System Message: ERROR/3 (, line 1)
Unknown directive type "toctree".

When put in
.. toctree::
:maxdepth:3
