I just tried the CLFS development book with glibc 2.26, binutils 2.28.1, and gcc 7.2 rc. I did not run into any problems constructing a temporary system. Even the old gcc 7.1 patch applied cleanly on 7.2 sources. I stopped at sec. 6.9. Until gcc 7.2 is released I will hold. On Fri, Aug 4, 2017 a
