Hi,
ext4 is currently limited to 16tb, and you're looking for 18 if I
understood right. Only very recent packages have lifted the 16tb limit.

I've managed without a swap partition until now, but I'm trying to
build open office and the build is failing at the last minute due to
lack of memory. So now I've made a swap partition of 2 gig and run
mkswap. I've also amended the fstab. All seems fine until I run swapon
-a which
I'm now doing BLFS 6.2.0 stable and just put up a firewall.
On boot it complains about missing table nat, I think
I missed that in my kernel, but it also complains about
missing tcp-syncookies in /proc/sys/net/ipv4 that's echoed
to 0 in the personal firewall script. There's only a syn_retry
or
serial ports in your kernel? I have put the max to two
so boot will be faster when not even trying to probe those ports..
Check dmesg | grep tty
if your kernel recognizes the ports.
