Hello, I try to find a reason for the following statement in the book:
"Because Glibc no longer supports i386, its developers say to use the compiler flag -march=i486 when building it for x86 machines." I wasn't able to find such recommendation in documentation of glibc (files README, INSTALL, FAQ, etc.). I'm sure it had to be discussed somewhere in lfs-dev, but I couldn't find it anyway. Could anybody give me a link? Thanks.
