    Please don't top post your questions/replies.

    You should try E1000E- and/or IGB-driver of the Linux kernel which is
    listed in the LFS-book. You can enable it via the command "make
    menuconfig" in the kernel source. Then follow these steps in the "Linux
    Kernel Configuration":

    Device Drivers --> [*] Network device support --> [*] Ethernet (1000
    Mbit) --> <*> Intel(R) PRO/1000 PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet support

    and/or

    Device Drivers --> [*] Network device support --> [*] Ethernet (1000
    Mbit) --> <*> Intel(R) 82575/82576 PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet support

    ATM I can look at the configuration of kernel 2.6.34 only. But I guess
    there is no need to download anything.
