I am getting the following compilation errors with the man-db-2.5.5 package
in LFS-6.5.
gcc -std=gnu99 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.. -I../include -I../intl
-I../gnulib/lib -I../gnulib/lib -I../lib -I../libdb
-DCONFIG_FILE=\/etc/man_db.conf\ -DLOCALEDIR=\/usr/share/locale\

You were right. I must have made a mistake in Groff compilation.
i recompiled groff with PAGE=A4 and then tried compiling man-db.
It worked.
