I MISS/deleted SOME FILES IN sysconfig dir [UNDER /etc/]
1 step) i created file cat /etc/sysconfig/mouse message was not created mouse ,then unfortunaltely i deleted sysconfig dir in etc/dir [*how to get back those other files other than mouse in /etc/sysconfig dir*] * 2-step)i created mkdir sysconfig dir in etc/ dir then again i created file cat /etc/sysconfig/mouse # Begin /etc/sysconfig/mouse MDEVICE=/dev/input/mice[because i am using pc-desktop,usb mouse] PROTOCOL=imps2 GPMOPTS= # End /etc/sysconfig/mouse EOF this time k 3 step ) i rebooted on screen below message message /etc/rc.d/init.d/rc:line15:/etc/sysconfig/rc:No such file or directory INIT:id 1respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes INIT:id 3respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes INIT:id 5respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes INIT:id 4respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes INIT:id 6respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes INIT:no more processes left in this runlevel INIT:id 3respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes INIT:id 5respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes going on is that because of we missed some*[Those files would have come from lfs-how to get back those]*files in /etc/sysconfig dir?? Please send all messages relating to BLFS support to the BLFS support list in the future. Also, disable HTML email when sending to the list. Also, it's hard to understand what you are saying. ANY SOLUTION? Just unpack the LFS bootscripts and run make install. Then rerun Chapter 7 in the book, configuring appropriately to your system. That should work.
