Hello, I am using the system version 7.10. After unpacking the sources system-231, the documentation states you need run configure. That file does not exist i.e. you need to run autogen.sh first which will generate the configure file. The documentation does not mention this step as far as I

Following another thread on the list I searched a little about when the nodes are created and found https://lwn.net/Articles/330985/ where it states that after the rootfs is mounted by the kernel, the populated tmpfs is mounted at /dev. The article is not new, so at least this was the initial
