Thank you for the reply. I was having some other issues with my computer so I
wiped the drive and reinstalled Ubuntu.
Now things are working as they should.
It sure is puzzling though.

The key is stored in ~/.ssh
The old key was called WT
The new key is called the name of the site I connect to.
