Do you see the same errors when using the mysql command line tool
directly? It could be a problem of the mysqlclient library as well, or
a problem of the server.

I have been having some problems with my application after I upgraded
to dbd_mysql v0.8.2-1 drivers from v0.8.1. I have made a lot of
