I feel I should warn you now, this talk is going to be super weird.
Hope you're all okay with that. Though if you're coming to one of my
talks, you pretty much know what you were getting into. :D
This talk is about the barriers to collaboration, which includes
everything from government interference to pervasive paranoia to applied
chaos theory. It will also offer concrete advice to hopefully help you
collaborate better (using real examples from other areas of activism and
philanthropy). There will be funny anecdotes and disturbing anecdotes,
and a fair bit of overlap. There will also be a brief interlude with an
adorable video about the NSA. If it helps, you can pretend it's leaked.
;-) Then we're going to talk about the psychology of self and
existentialism, but we're not gonna go full Kierkegaard. (Never go full
Kierkegaard).
