am using the openjdk. From what i have asked in the past about java jre
and jdk you can have multiple versions installed. on mac for instance it
comes with both the 32bit and 64bit jdk and jre.

use an installer to make sure the read me's as well as the licenses get
installed in the LO directory. currently the way it is i don't have to
drag either of them into the application directory.
