If you need to add a new openid to your current gerrit account: log-in with you existing valid openid... then go Setting... , then Identities add you new identities there... make sure you complete the email hand-shake
then and only then, you can log on with your new identity if you try to use a new identity up front, gerrit will create a new account for you... it is not very good at detecting that you want to use the same email/username... which create some confusion, and need some manual SQL clean-up to fix.
