https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91190 --- Comment #2 from Henri b...@intergga.ch --- Thanks for the answer. Sure, .accdb would be more important than .mdb to be imported. Please be aware that indeed people managing databases will hesitate to switch from MS Office to LibreOffice, as long as each imported database will need a lot of development work to be operative. Conversely, if the conversion would be relatively easy (as for Excel tablesheets, which can be made operative with only few changes in the code), probably many more people would decide to leave Microsoft's world… -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

But I would say that here are two more different steps to test: * before installing, remove the LibreOffice installation - user profile with Bibliographic Database should remain intact * before installing, remove the LibreOffice installation completely (purge) - user profile with Bibliographic Database should remain intact * do these tests with stable releases and also with dev builds (beta, rc etc) Therefore changing to UNCONFIRMED as it was tested only with beta1 build and not more. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91548] FEATURE REQUEST: analysis toolpak for Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91548 --- Comment #5 from Edmund Laugasson edmund.laugas...@gmail.com --- Well in that case this bug could be like the metabug, collecting all other data analysis bugs or actually feature requests. The reason - these other bugs are not talking all of these aspects. I would also say that I am not the math or statistics professor and not familiar with all of these exact functions and its aspects but I know two of these packages (analysis toolpak and real statistics toolpak), which contain all the asked features of data analysis. I am talking in the name of all scientists but they will not even look toward LibreOffice if there are not at least on the same level data analysis like in MS Excel. The question is that actually there is a plan to find resources (money, people) to create that functionality but not yet clear when it will be happen. If there could be kind of H2020 project it would be nice. Not only statistics and data analysis but all LibreOffice functionality should be tested and teaching materials created. Then also appropriate teachers, professors would be involved and also missing features better described. As I am not the mathematician, it would not be good idea to describe by me all this. But you all who are receiving messages of current bug could help me. I try to do it also. I guess there would be needed to set up kind of MS Excel instance and look inside it. Then install also that real statistics package and also this one. I guess what would be possible to do - copy help text and examples (if any) from MS Excel, make some pictures how it looks like and create bug report, actually feature request. Then there would be at least information of existing functionality. But I guess if programmer(s) would like to implement these functions, then there would be needed to test actual work and compare results with MS Excel. Then there must be mathematician available to give an expert rating of the results. I guess kind of similar hunting session should be organized like LibreOffice bug hunting sessions are, where also appropriate teachers, professors are involved to create these functions with examples and tutorials. There are MS Office 60-day and 90-day MS Windows trial versions legally available at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/ Also there are preinstalled virtual machines available at http://dev.modern.ie/tools/vms/ - same trial versions but already preinstalled virtual machines and also for Linux and Mac OS. I would propose to leave currently as unconfirmed but if you have better ideas - let us hear them. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 79365] UI: sidebar dropdown cropped
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79365 --- Comment #5 from fredd...@yahoo.de --- This is still the case in LibreOffice Math 4.4.2.2 40m0(Build:2) on Ubuntu 15.04 on a 3200×1800px screen. The operating system wide UI scale is set to System Settings → Displays → UI scale = 2.0 (corresponds to dconf org.gnome.desktop.interface.scaling-factor=2). LibreOffice → View → User interface → scale is kept at default 100% because it wouldn't respect the OS setting but add on top of it (resulting in mixed inconsistent 4× scale). As it seems LibreOffice takes its UI scale cue from somewhere else because changing the operating system setting to 1.0 will still result in a scaled LibreOffice UI with the above bug. Reducing the screen resolution to 1600×900px with UI scale = 1 gives the correct result with the dropdown completely visible. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

The displayed number is *not* a page number but the serial number in page order: it reflects the choice made in Format Page Sheet tab, Page Order: Top to bottom, Then Left to right or right, Then down. With the attached exemple you get either: Page1 Page3 Page2 Page4 either: Page1 Page2 Page3 Page4 In addition, the page number is based on the setting First page number in the same tab. So we can have sheets with Page style numbering the sheets from one and others from any value. Select them should in no case renumber as you propose. It is not a bug as Sophie wrote. If implemented--its default state should be OFF. As to ODF online--given the less than stellar online user experience of MS Office 365 (despite their massive backend infrastructure)--we are a long way from encouraging folks to use a cloud based flavor of LibreOffice for their document editing. Anything this premature would be rather negative experience and not something we want to promote on a regular basis. By the way--LibreOffice is not an editor for PDF. We filter import the content of PDFs (by default into Draw) amd work with it natively, and then save to ODF by default. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91570 Bug ID: 91570 Summary: crash after closing Bibliography Database Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1 Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: edmund.laugas...@gmail.com Using 64-bit Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.1 with 4.0.4-040004-generic kernel LibreOffice version: 5.0.0.0.beta1 Build ID: 0a16c3dda4150008d9be6f24cbd15ac198d116d3 Locale: et-EE (et_EE.UTF-8) Even if Bibliogrphy Database has been opened through Writer, it is .odb file and opens with Base. Steps to reproduce: * open Writer * open Tools-Bibliogrphy Database * close the Bibliogrphy Database window using the close button in top of right corner (the cross) * whole LibreOffice will crash (see the strace vol.2) But if to close using File-Close Windows then it will not crash. At the same time the shortcut key CTRL+W does not work (close window) - only menu choice works. Such blinking like in Bug 91544 I did not experienced. I could even add entries to the database. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91556] Reset scale factor for UI (Tools Options LibreOffice View) with quick and easy way
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91556 --- Comment #6 from pierre-yves samyn pierre-yves.sa...@laposte.net --- Hi Cor +1 about the regression (In reply to Edmund Laugasson from comment #0) Currently the only quick workaround seems to be delete user profile Meanwhile, a less radical solution would be to change the value of FontScaling setting in the registrymodifications.xcu file (located user profile). Less radical but no user friendly... [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91189] Impossible to import Access 2007/2010 Databases
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91189 --- Comment #4 from Henri b...@intergga.ch --- LibreOffice (4.4.2.2) starten - Base Datenbank klicken. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
