Yep, Locale: en-GB is curious.

symbioma.trix: the problem went away for the original reporter, if they
uninstalled the local help. Do you have help installed?

Hello,

I've tested some more. Sometimes I used "Ashampoo Uninstaller". I find out
"Ashampoo Uninstaller" don't cooperate with the Installationpackage of
LibreOffice since Version 6.x.

Best Regards, Helmut!

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94677

Build from 23 June took 1min 15s (stopwatch time) to open, so we already had a
~1min improvement since my 2min 20s comment 14 in 2016 (probably thanks to
other patches by Noel).
With a fresh build just now, it takes 43 seconds.

So the opening time is ~31% of the time in 2016.

A large file is a large file and I think these are pretty substantial
improvements, so I would be happy to close this as fixed, unless Noel has other
ideas.

Dear Milan Bouchet-Valat,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88199] Table: Backward selection does not shrink properly

2019-06-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88199

Dear Harald Koester,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

This was fixed at somepoint, the TIFF are being correctly formed on opening

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124289] Slow Formula Bar

2019-06-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124289

I've been experiencing the same issue since upgrading to the latest stable
version the other day (from ~6.0.1 or 3). Curiously, I have the same en-GB
locale + ui as the reporter.

Version: 6.1.6.3 (x64)
Build ID: 5896ab1714085361c45cf540f76f60673dd96a72
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default;
Locale: en-GB (he_IL); Calc: CL

Would like to point out that this specifically occurs when using the mouse -
arrow keys and F2 react in a timely manner. It seems as though specifically a
move of the mouse anywhere within the vicinity of the formula bar triggers the
lag.

I've added some gifs to illustrate the observed behaviour.

tdf#125751 sw: don't start recursive layout in SwTextFrame::EmptyHeight()

Not sure if this has anything to do with the bug, but i noticed it while
debugging...

This is the only place that calls GetCurrFrame() *during* formatting,
so make sure we don't do stupid recursive things.

tdf#125751 sw: tweak assert in SwFrame::PrepareMake() a bit more

This fixes 2 cases of the assert that was added in commit
e14056e6e88d9b8d988b7b88b2776a8fc952031b

* tdf#125751 bugdoc would assert because on a page there were a bunch of
empty section frames preceding 2 SwTextFrames; the first SwTextFrame
moved backwards skipping over the empty section frames, hence the
second SwTextFrame is not the mpNext of the first one's follow

* writerfilter_null_ptr_deref.sample had a SwTextNode with >80k
characters; turns out there is a check in SwTextFrame::CalcFollow()
to format only up to 10 follow frames, so the result is 2 follow
  frames on the same page

sw: avoid deleting the iterated SwRowFrame on tdf104188-4.odt

The change in commit 1e6dec4b4313212a3bdc6bb06155fd65e795368b
was not enough to fix this problem.

SwContentFrame::CalcLowers() may move a SwTextFrame to the previous
page; in that case Calc() on the upper is a bad idea because it may then
call RemoveFollowFlowLine() and delete the SwRowFrame that is being
iterated.

There is one other (unknown) bugdoc with this problem, let's hope it's
fixed as well...

Please provide the info from About -> Libre Office (text is selectable).

But since you explicitly mention kde plasma, I guess VCL is kde5 and it's quite
probably a duplicate of bug 125548, which is fixed in 6.2.5.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 122691] Export full tooltip for footnote number to PDF

2019-06-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122691

(In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #6)
> Could you please attach a PDF created by another software that does create
> the full tooltip for comparison ?
Sorry, no I can't... I had a looked at a number of PDFs (mostly linguistics
papers) and they either show page number or what seems to be 'consecutive
number' or nothing at all.

But to quote from my original post: Writer is smart enough to process the page
number that the footnote appears on for export to PDF, so it should be able to
process the actual content of the footnote, no? I'd rather get the footnote
content than the page number; the latter is redundant and embarrassing. If this
request is *not* possible, at the very least it would be nice to strip out the
hover-to-show-page-number.

Thanks!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 126153] New: Tab key has to be pressed twice to enter text

2019-06-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126153

Bug ID: 126153
Summary: Tab key has to be pressed twice to enter text
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cmpr...@gmail.com

Since upgrading to 6.2.4.2.0, calc has seemingly changed the behaviour of the
tab key. Formerly, pressing tab would move to the next cell and permit
immediate entry of text into that cell. Now, I have to press the tab key again
to enter text.
Once text has been entered, pressing tab moves the cursor forward to the next
cell but does not allow text entry. Pressing any key after a single tab results
in varying behaviour but is possibly seems to behave as if the ctrl key was
held down. Pressing the tab key a second time does not move the cursor and then
permits entry of text as normal.
I can find no settings within the menus that would seem to control this
behaviour.

gcc 8.3.0

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36300] tiff images render badly

2019-06-28 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Created attachment 152460

Working with the extracted TIFF from Pictures directory of attachment 45708, or
with TIFF of attachment 134996 no longer shows banding--but the TIFF look to
now be rendering just one band of sRGB color (Red).

I am using mysql-connector-java.jar, and com.mysql.jdbc.Driver. (The mariadb
ones still give me other problems, so I am avoiding them for now).

This is completely new odb file, so I did not expect to get this problem again.
I know how to fix it, but surely it should not be happening?
