2021-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142271

Bug ID: 142271
Summary: Character Shadow Setting Not Saved
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.1.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: c319ch...@aol.com

Impress does not save character shadow setting. When program is launched,
Character -> Font Effects -> Shadow is disabled, even if file was saved with
this box checked. Character shadows must be re-enabled for each slide every
time the program is launched.

You can try Lo 32-bit and also see if crash occurs on File-Close or Exit.
Could be related to bug 141403.

Try this: Help - Restart in Safe Mode - and check that 2 options from Reset to

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 141390] Toggling "show outline content visibility button" sends one to the top of the document

2021-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141390

Merged https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/114255 is a rehack of the
outline folding feature. It includes a behavior change to keep the cursor
position visible after toggle. Note the cursor position may be moved to the
visible parent outline node if the toggle would result in the cursor being not
visible due to being in folded content.

New commits:
commit 6b09276d157abada74e1a4989700139167207778
Author: Jim Raykowski
AuthorDate: Sun Apr 18 23:00:38 2021 -0800

Outline folding experimental feature rehack

* Changes the way the outline content visibility button is shown to
similiar how the table un-float button is shown.

* Toggle function is replaced by an invalidate function that makes
outline content visible or not visible only if needed.

* Removes the left and right arrow keys restrictions of cursor movement
in and out of an outline node paragraph having outline content
visibility attribute set false (folded outline content). These were
prevented due to causing an assert in txtfrm.cxx
SwTextFrame::MapModelToView but seems to do no harm here if allowed.

* Makes a selection read-only if it spans an outline node that has
folded content and disallows actions that would cause loss of folded
content.

* Adds RestoreSavePos when Move fails in SwCursor::LeftRight to fix a
bug that occurs in documents with outline content folded at the end of
the document. When the cursor is at the end of the visible document and
right arrow key is pressed Move fails after moving the cursor to the
end of the document model, which doesn't have a node frame and causes
wierd numbers to be displayed in the statusbar page number count. Left
arrow, when in this state causes a crash without the added
RestoreSavePos.

* Addresses tdf#141390 concerning position of view when feature is
turned off and on.

details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Dear Gordo,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

Dear Gerard Jaryczewski,

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.

Dear bugzilla,

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 41450] False icons after high-contrast disabling.

2021-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41450

Dear Florian Reisinger,

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

vcl PDF tokenizer: fix EOF position when \r is not followed by \n

Otherwise this would break partial tokenize when we only read a trailer
in the middle of the file: m_aEOFs.back() is one byte larger than
rStream.Tell(), so we reader past the end of the trailer, resulting in a
tokenize failure.

What's special about the bugdoc:

- it has 2 xrefs, the first is incomplete, and refers to a second which
is later in the file
- the object length is as indirect object, triggering an xref lookup
- the first EOF is followed by a \r, but then not with a \n

This results in reading past the end of the first trailer and then
triggering a lookup failure.

FWIW, pdfium does the same in

,
we're on in sync with it.

similar--any thought on why "PDF" or "pdf" returns nothing? But, "Export as"
picks it up, while "EPUB" and "epub" search strings are fine, a Logic flaw in
the search?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 142269] New: PLEASETEST: Phantom page breaks when text flow increases

2021-05-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142269

Bug ID: 142269
Summary: PLEASETEST: Phantom page breaks when text flow
increases
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.0.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: sirte...@ejgodwin.net

Description:
Changing the text length of any page (such as paragraph expansion, adding a
paragraph, or changing style heights) inserts phantom page breaks in the
displayed document, and the page count multiplies to 4 or 5 times what it
should be. If you save the document and reopen it, the page count winds back
down to a reasonable number, and the phantom page breaks are gone, but the page
count still isn't quite right. Note that the phantom page breaks only appear in
the "Glossary" portion of the document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open attached document.
2.Note the page count in the lower left corner (148). (Your page count may vary
if you don't have some of the fonts installed.)
3.In the navigator window, double-click on "Glossary".
4.Note that each glossary entry neatly follows the other, as designed in the
style for "1- Entry".
5.Double-click on "Introduction" in the navigator, and place your cursor after
the last period in the first paragraph (ending in "same year").
6.Hit the enter key three times, and watch the page count skyrocket until it
settles above 600.
7.In the navigator window, double-click on "Glossary" again. Note how every
page now has only one or two glossary entries on it, followed by a "phantom"
page break that is not in the document.

Actual Results:
Unwanted "phantom" page breaks in the display, wreaking havoc on the
formatting.

Expected Results:
Phantom/display-only page breaks appear, and the page count skyrockets. Saving
and reopening the file seems to correct the problem, but I noticed that the
page count did not go back to near what it was before.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Text flow should only add to the page count as necessary.
