Dear Gil Shwartz,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

2023-05-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100934

--- Comment #7 from QA Administrators  ---
Dear pietro.pangallo,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 155393] Crash in SfxShell::GetViewShell()

2023-05-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155393

--- Comment #4 from Jim Raykowski  ---
Created attachment 187415
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=187415=edit
demo: grey out navigator when in notes view

For me, getting this to crash using x11 or gtk3 isn't easy. With qt5 the crash
happens as soon as an object in the Navigator is clicked on. Perhaps an issue
related to when state changes get fired.

The small patch offered here makes the Navigator grey out when in Notes view.
With vintage computers it is still possible to repro the crash by being quick
to click on an object in the tree before the timer is invoked that updates the
navigator controller item states:

https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/152027

With some amount of enhancement hacking it looks to be possible to show in the
Navigator, slides and page objects of Notes when in the Notes view, and normal
slides and objects when the view is in Normal view.

This actually might work. Looking at the code in
XCUBasedAcceleratorConfiguration::impl_ts_load we seem to leave the shortcut as

tdf#90408 Revert #i79169# save/apply attributes of macrobutton text

This reverts ancient commit a79a0101f114e0fcac40503220c5d34750124367.

I'm not sure what problem it was trying to solve,
but it doesn't seem necessary now.
At least, I took my unit test and set some different
font sizes to them, and they correctly got those attributes.

This was the original file that needed to be fixed:
make CppunitTest_sw_ww8export4 CPPUNIT_TEST_NAME=testTdf90408

This is for the current bug report:
make CppunitTest_sw_ww8export4 CPPUNIT_TEST_NAME=testTdf90408B

Bug ID: 155424
   Summary: LISTIF function
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: liammcgillivra...@gmail.com

Description:
I propose a new function called "LISTIF" for Libreoffice Calc. This function
finds the nth value in a range that meets the stated criterion.

It would have the following arguments:
Range: The range to be evaluated by the criteria given.
Criteria: The criterion to be applied to the range.
Number: The nth value that meets the criterion will be displayed.
List range (optional): The range from which outputs will be drawn.

If the "number" argument is set to "1", then this function will output the
first value in the range that meets the criteria. If set to "2", it will output
the second.

I imagine
 pAttrList->add(XML_typeface, "");
or
 pAttrList->add(XML_typeface, std::string_view());
will work. First one is probably preferable.

--- Comment #8 from Panos Stokas  ---
Bug still present in Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha1+

This is really an ancient LibreOffice regression that I reported in bug 38635.
This bug was closed, marked as FIXED despite my objections. It was never fixed.
It keeps resurfacing in bugs such as bug 118937.

I've restored the original title since I have clarified in an earlier comment
that the bug isn't related to the background fill color but in the way borders
are connected in version 3.4.

I've learned to live with this bug by making sure that my documents are
compatible with OpenOffice so that I can use OpenOffice to print them because I
use text borders a lot.

How to write pAttrList->add(XML_typeface, OString());

2023-05-20 Thread Regina Henschel

Hi all,

linux_clang_dbgutil_64 does not like

pAttrList->add(XML_typeface, OString());

and says, that I have to use std::string_view instead of OString.
But I don't know how to write it. Please help me.
It is in https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/152024

Kind regards,
Regina

I'll resolve this bug report.

In the meantime we have https://ask.libreoffice.org. There are experienced
users who will help with those problems. If you find something which does not
work, please ask there.

Nevertheless we could consider to help those users, who are not familiar with
form controls. In case you are interested to improve the situation, please
discuss in the above mentioned Ask forum or on a mailing list [1] (e.g. design
or documentation) how such help could be achieved and then open an enhancement
request for that here in Bugzilla.
