Hi everybody.im sorry to bother to you, but i wasnt sure where to go, im a very low level editor on wikipedia and i had created the libreoffice writer and libreoffice calc articles, they are quite small articles and were copied from the oo.o articles and then heavily modified, but im sure given a chance they will improve. there is a user 'fitoschido' who continues to try and delete these articles and argued that they are not notable. I stated my positions and i'm quite sure that this user is just sabre rattling and that an admin would overturn any deletion that he would attempt but i thought i'd come to you guys just in case. this user attempted to delete the libreoffice writer article as well, but the article remains up due to strong support from the community, but he's trying to delete calc this time. libreoffice needs a presence on wikipedia and overzealous users shouldnt be allowed to muscle us out. please if u have any spare time write a word of support for libreoffice calc article and libreoffice at this webpagehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/LibreOffice_Calc ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice

Hi, @Wol thanks for your answer. I've already configured with '--enable-binfilter'. binfilter builds except some sub-dirs 'bf_sd', 'bf_svx' and 'bf_xmloff' (and some others) and I have changes ready in there but not tested. For 'extension', make simply answers 'Presenter Screen build disabled' and things like that. For 'ure' I have a 400k+ patch which concerns many sub-dirs and make does not see any change in those... #libreoffice developers put the #openoffice code on a diet / work-out regiment. After 6 weeks how did they do? 34,000 Lines of code lighter. But isn't a lot of this lines of code that were commented out, or inside #if 0? And how much of the change is due to changes in the OOo milestones that have been merged in? I would be very careful in using that number in any kind of bragging fashion, without very explicitly indicating what it measures, exactly. Of course, hard to do that in a short tweet, and it is bound to be misinterpreted. --tml ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice

Laugh if you like but what I did was a quick read over the docs for the tool Sebastian used and felt pretty comfortable afterwards. Granted there are variables not mentioned, options, et al. But, did send that tweet out. IMO it wasn't a bragging tone, just promoting. If there is are questions folks will refer to the ML, already public anyway. At least that was my thought process.
