Dear Nicolas Christener,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Bug ID: 152868
Summary: Warning: Eye Rolling possible. In Calc, a cell with
a function returns a string to the active cell, but
the string can not yet be pushed into a Designated
Cell by a standard function. [1] Status "NEW"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: email_bnj_...@yahoo.com

Description:
Data is transferred from both '. . .DocDonor.ods'#$Sheet1.O1:O13 and . .
.P1:R30 to both '. . ._DocRecipient_Variable_A_2'#DonorSheet.O1:O13 and . .
P1:R30. From that data a new formula is made in E76. One may see the String
from that formula in the active cell -- E76.
We would like to send the String to '. .
._DocRecipient_Variable_A_2'#RecipientSheet.C39 and use it to generate the
formulae in '. . ._DocRecipient_Variable_A_2'#RecipientSheet.C39:C67. The
ability to achieve this objective would give LibreOffice Calc, to my knowledge,
one more level of abstraction and thus exceed the power of other spreadsheets
in this area.

Steps to Reproduce:
Since this is an enhancement, let's go through the steps it will do. Step 0 is
an example of the current situation in LibO. Step 1 is the difficulty, as I
don't know where the string lives. Please see _DocRecipient_Variable_A_2.ods.
0. $DonorSheet.$E$76, a cell with a function, returns a string to the active
cell. The active cell is $DonorSheet.$E$76.
1. From where the string lives, set a Variable equal to the string in the
active cell.
2. Clear/Delete the Designated Cell text, Date & time, Comments, Numbers, and
Formulas.
3. Push the string value of the Variable into the Designated Cell as though
the user had typed it character by character.
4. End the standard function.

Actual Results:
The Enhancement is not yet implemented.

Expected Results:
The software should have transferred the string in E76 to E81 as though the
user had typed it in by means of the keyboard.

Reproducible: Didn't try

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:

.
You seem to have a lot of work to do. On the other hand there are a lot
of commits. Caolanm has at least 32,552. Amazing.
If I could find where the string lives that is displayed in '. .
._DocRecipient_Variable_A_2'#DonorSheet.E76, then maybe you would not have to
code this.
However, even though, to me, this looks, since it is so unconventional,
like a relatively simple function to make, I do not recognize the true
complexity. I expect to be quite mistaken. This is my experience when I am
approached in my area of expertise, by someone who has my level of naivete in
this -- your area of expertise. But if you care to find where this string
lives, I will try to get this function done.

This Word 2019 minimized file contains no section break, but the footnotes are
laid out differently in Writer regardless.

There is a textbox in the footer and upon opening this file in Writer there is
only one footnote laid out on the first page.

However selecting the textbox in Writer, pressing Del, then choosing Tools -
Update - Page Formatting moves the footnotes 2-3 to the bottom of the first
page, just like in Word.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140359] New: Equation pushed out of page when a pasted image intersects with it

2021-02-11 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140359

Bug ID: 140359
Summary: Equation pushed out of page when a pasted image
intersects with it
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: user234...@tutanota.com

Description:
If the image is pasted in just the right position, such that it overlaps with
the equation, the equation will disappear. Closer inspection reveals that there
is an equation object below the page boundary, but it cannot be moved.

Saving the document when the equation is in this state will save it correctly.
The equation will be where it was originally when the document is reopened.

Though the equation object cannot be moved, it can be cut and pasted and put
back.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the attached document and the attached image
2. Open the attached image in GIMP
3. Under Edit, select "Copy Visible" in order to copy the image data.
4. Open the document
5. Move the cursor to the position right after the colon at the end of the last
sentence.
6. Use CTRL+V to paste the image
7. Use CTRL+Z to undo the image paste

Actual Results:
The bottom-most two equations appear to be missing, even after using CTRL+Z

Expected Results:
The equations should have been moved to a new page correctly, and the CTRL+Z
should have resulted in the equations being back to where they were.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Tested on version 6.1.5.2 in Debian. Also tested on the latest version
(7.1.0.3) in Windows 7.

that's because we use the "cherry-pick on top of branch" strategy. It
would be empty if it were rebased on top of current master.
That is what happened for the other patchset - for that you triggered
a rebase and it already was empty at that point...

Thank you for the feedback Stephan!
Indeed for https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/108120, it's empty.
For the other, it's not empty but saw also this message, weird...

2 commits pushed on gerrit but not retrievable and not present in cgit.

2020-12-22 Thread julien2412
Hello,

On branch master, I pushed these commits:
tdf#124176: Use pragma once instead of include guards
from çağatay kılınç
- https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/108120
Removed executable permission on file docx
from Andrea Gelmini

I don't see them on https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/
and I didn't retrieve them on my local repo.
Here's my git/.config:

I believe it is this same bug:
Bug 70883 - "uno: copy" via the dispatcher does not work when a button has
focus

The work I "solved" it is by pasting after every copy or paste line in a macro:
ThisComponent.CurrentController.Frame.ContainerWindow.setFocus

And never had the problem again.

The bug is still there though...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131317] New: BUTTON WITH MACRO IN CALC HAS TO BE PUSHED TWICE TO DO ALL THE WORK.

2020-03-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131317

Bug ID: 131317
Summary: BUTTON WITH MACRO IN CALC HAS TO BE PUSHED TWICE TO DO
ALL THE WORK.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.1.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: romrod...@outlook.com

Description:
If I run a macro via a button, I have to press it 2 or more times to get all
the macro done. If you do it via the macro editor, it works flawlessly.
I have attached a .ods with an example.

It deletes the cell value on some columns and then pastes the value from the
"master" colum. The first time you press the button, it just deletes
everything. The second or third time, it normally finishes the work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attachment
2. Push the button. Everything will be deleted as it should.
3. Push the button another time (or more). It pastes the numbers as it should
4. Repeat it via the macro editor. It works from the firs time.

Actual Results:
After pushing the button once, it deletes the values in the columns with a pink
cell above.
After the second or third time, you see that it pastes the value from the "DA"
column.

Expected Results:
After pushing the button 1, it should have deleted the values and restore them.

Running the macro via the macro editor works just fine.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
It may be related to this bug:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70883
The first line of the macro is the "workaround" suggested in this bug report.

Also, if you clic on a random cell after pushing the button you may have the
expected result from the first time.

unit test for bug tdf#126324 pushed on the wrong branch

2019-10-30 Thread Jean-Baptiste Faure

Hi,

The unit test for bug tdf#126324
(https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126324) has been
pushed to 6.3 branch [1] while the correspondig fix has been pushed to

Is it possible to backport the fix to 6.3 branch and if not to revert
the unit test patch ?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127064] New: UI Scrolling up or to the left is pushed opposite direction

2019-08-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127064

Bug ID: 127064
Summary: UI Scrolling up or to the left is pushed opposite
direction
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.6.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: filius...@protonmail.com

Description:
Scrolling down or to the right works fine on LibreOffice Writer and Calc.
Scrolling back up or to the left works initially but immediately is pushed back
down/to the right.

This only occurs with a touchpad and not a mouse. Scrolling works perfectly in
other applications on computer.

I have not tried scrolling on other LibreOffice products.

I am running PopOS OS: Pop!_OS 19.04 x86_64

LibreOffice applications were installed individually from Pop Shop. I also
installed the LibreOffice KDE Integration. This may have something to do with
it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Scrolldown or to the right
2. Scroll in the opposite direction (up/left)

Actual Results:
Scrolling down or right was successful

Expected Results:
Scrolling up or to the left works initially but is immediately pushed in
opposite direction

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
It should smoothly scroll in the direction desired

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Just a note: it's not exactly as if there's no heading rows at all. It is
apparent when the table is not the topmost element on a page (e.g., some
paragraph(s) above it). In this case, making more heading rows than the page's
height moves the entire table to the next empty page, and only then, when even
the empty page isn't enough, starts it to output rows as if there's no heading
rows. In contrast, if there actually were no heading rows defined, the table
would start on the page with those initial contents, and flow to the second
page.

isk_short.docx: simplified version of the description's test document

I was unable to create a cleanroom sample - I could only simplify the provided
example.

I think this has more to do with section breaks than anything else. It looks
like the "paragraph before the table"'s keep with next property isn't
connecting to the table because of the section break, and thus the table floats
freely. A bRemove in DomainMapper.cxx::lcl_utext seems to be causing the import
problem. Don't remove if pContext->isSet(PROP_PARA_KEEP_TOGETHER)? But then you
get extra empty paragraphs each round-trip.

This simple file also exports poorly - even to .doc and .odt format. I'm not
going to look into this further - too ugly.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100758] New: [FILEOPEN] Word Continuous section break results in 2nd and more footnotes being pushed to next page on import of DOCX file

2016-07-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 100758
Summary: [FILEOPEN] Word Continuous section break results in
2nd and more footnotes being pushed to next page on
import of DOCX file
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: c...@nouenoff.nl

The fix of bug 90697 (dupl bug 100513) makes another problem visible: footnotes
after the first footnote are pushed to the bottom of the second page. The
reference still is on the correct position in the text.

This obviously is related to the following problems:

 - Bug 98287 - Mixing footnotes between sections leads to unwanted page break
after the first footnote and pushes the second footnote to the next page (edit)

 - Bug 54465 - FORMATTING: Inserting footnote in section (with columns), make
that sections size grow to the full page

This is the test file (
http://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=125792 ) from issue
100513.

I'll add a PDF showing part of that file in a daily from June 28, July 4 and a
PDF from Word.

Paragraph starting with "Aanleiding" is pushed to page 2

In Word there is a Section Break (Continuous) just above the paragraph that
erroneously flows to next page in Writer.
