The question was indeed more about the notarization process and verification by Apple, so from a technical point of view,... :) Knowing what is blocking here from a tech POV etc. GIMP has fixed the issue for their own installers and I'm pretty sure the GIMP dev who fixed it could provide some help to TDF if we are willing to :) [1] https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2019/10/22/libreoffice-and-macos-catalina/ [2] https://fr.blog.documentfoundation.org/2019/11/06/libreoffice-et-macos-catalina/ -- William Gathoye Hypertive volunteer for LibreOffice Proud member of The Document Foundation Member of LaMouette - French based association promoting ODF and LibreOffice ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice

There is a potential workaround which requires the adminstrator (in most cases, this is the main user of the Mac anyway), to specifically grant full disk access to the LibreOffice app bundle, via : System Preferences > Security and Confidentiality > Allow Full Disk Access > then add the LibreOffice app to the list. Obviously, most users will be loathe to actually do this as it specifically removes the protections around the jailed/containered "secure" application environment that Apple expects users (and application providers) to abide by. As to whether something is being considered from a coding point of view to resolve the problem, I have no idea. Yet another Catalina problem > I'm jumping on this "notarization" problem. Do we have any news to share about this topic? Just asking because over the last 24 hours, I have got multiple complains about this topic on the LibreOfficeFR Twitter account. Our end users just want to get some updates about this topic. Where is the problem? Is the issue on our side? Is Apple answering at all? Will this be fixed for 6.3.4? Thanks for you answer :) Regards, -- William Gathoye Hypertive volunteer for LibreOffice Proud member of The Document Foundation Member of LaMouette - French based association promoting ODF and LibreOffice ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice
