[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84472] Deal with UNCONFIRMED NeedAdvice Bugs
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84472 --- Comment #5 from QA Administrators --- Dear Björn Michaelsen, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! needAdvice bugs
Hi All - With the great work of QA our bug count is quite manageable these days but we do have a few buts (~20) that are in needAdvice status and we'd really appreciate some developer input. Some of these bugs are in NEW or NEEDINFO status but I think they could still use a fresh set of eyes from developers to ensure that they are our bugs and that they are in fact bugs. After a developer looks at them, please remove needAdvice from the whiteboard. Thanks all! https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/buglist.cgi?list_id=523710order=bug_status%2Cchangeddate%2Cpriority%2Cbug_severityquery_based_on=query_format=advancedresolution=---status_whiteboard=needAdvicestatus_whiteboard_type=allwordssubstr Best, Joel ___ LibreOffice mailing list LibreOffice@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 84472] New: Deal with UNCONFIRMED NeedAdvice Bugs
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84472 Priority: medium Bug ID: 84472 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Deal with UNCONFIRMED NeedAdvice Bugs Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: bjoern.michael...@canonical.com Hardware: Other Status: NEW Version: unspecified Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice QA is now aggressively getting through unconfirmed bugs but we do have the NeedAdvice bugs that are just kind of hanging out. What would be nice is for Robinson to do whatever is necessary -- meaning he himself communicate with the user to diagnose, ping whatever developer might be able to help, etc... to move these forward. I believe he's already started doing this but I think it can be now a routine task for the QA Engineer. That being said - we'll try to keep the # manageable so it's not a huge time suck. Also not a really high priority generally. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
