A DOCX preview certainly a nice function. Currently you have to Save an ODT as
DOCX followed by File-Reload. The badness only shows up after reload.. so you
can save 20x to DOCX while editing.. without

That wasn't the creation path. This document needs to be DOCX.
Ultimately I had to "fix" this by starting from scratch with Word 2016 on a
Windows laptop. There was no way shape or form
